I managed to get in a day before the show closed! (Nov 11). Always a source for inspiration for me, this years’ showhouse was held in a 71st street townhouse that spanned 6 stories with a beautiful spiral staircase leading up to the top floor. Designed by Jennifer Post, the 6th floor was probably my favorite floor. The comfortable, yet sophisticated, sleek and modern home theater room on one side, his and her massage tables and meditation/yoga area on the other side. Two sets of french doors lead out to a rooftop oasis overlooking the streets of Manhattan below. Ample and comfortable seating areas for entertaining or relaxing. I could manage up there just fine. (No kitchen necessary).
Another favorite spot of mine was this amazing art installation along the stairwell.
