The original 1966 Chandelier from The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center has been restored over the years. The chandelier manufacturing company, J & L Lobmyer, has lovingly restored several components of the crystal Sputniks. There were 49,000 pieces of crystal and they were replaced by Swarovski crystal.
Recently, one of our clients purchased one of the limited edition orbs from the original chandelier and wanted to make it into a keepsake sculpture for their home. After some brainstorming we custom made a metal stand to house the orb and set it off. The result was a fabulous art piece!
