Last week , I was invited to attend an event at Equinox in Summit, NJ. The evening was to raise awareness about NEDA , The National Eating Disorders Association. This non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders. They campaign for prevention, improved access to quality treatment, and increased research funding to better understand and treat eating disorders. They partner with associations to help everyone get assistance.
Sportscaster Bob Papa emceed the evening and there was a guest appearance from Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund who shared her own story. Catering was from Peter’s Restaurant in Millburn, with cocktails and music.
Mission: NEDA supports individuals and families affected by eating disorders, and serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to quality care.
